Electrical Engineer Hardware Development for Optical Sensors (m/f/d)

You develop the hardware for optical position sensors of ifm used in digitalized automation (Find out more about our Optical Sensors).

• You will accompany your innovation throughout the entire development path: from prototype design, evaluation and series sample development to the series product
• You will design hardware architectures, support specification, simulate designs, create schematics and commission your boards
• You ensure the usability of your designs after a completed commissioning in the adjacent disciplines, e.g. by scripts that enable raw data acquisition
• You ensure the quality of your designs in close cooperation with the adjacent disciplines, e.g. software, system engineering, mechanics, type testing, production, etc.

• Completed studies in the field of electrical engineering or comparable qualification 
• You have knowledge in designing embedded systems consisting of analog circuit parts and interacting with microcontrollers
• Experience in tool-based hardware design (e.g. LT Spice, CR8000) as well as applicable compliance requirements (e.g. EMC) is an advantage
• You have basic knowledge in programming microcontrollers as well as script-based programming (e.g. Python)
• The ability to innovate, curiosity, an independent way of working and good communication skills round off your profile
